Internet Marketing on the web

In the advent of technology and the world wide web, more people around the globe are using and getting hooked to the internet.  With the large number of people who are reached over the net, it is but natural that advertisers and marketers would venture into and exploit this readily available technology. Nowadays, the opportunity is ripe for internet marketing.  Internet penetration is an important factor that has made marketing online much more relevant than what it was just a few years ago. In fact, Australians now on average spend more time online, than they do watching television. The time factor that Australians spend online is not just worth noting, but also the ability to target prospective customers with a level of precision previously unseen. You can reach more people using the internet and Google marketing using this venue is cheaper and the results are almost instant. Googl Advertising is highly targeted because it primarily involves reaching searchers whoa re actually typing in keywords, which indicate their specific interests and needs at the time. By connecting these searchers, as prospective customers, to businesses who are able to offer them relevant products and services, this is essentially directly connecting buyer and seller.

Website marketing campaigns come in a lot of forms.  You have email marketing, pay per click, banner and display ads, search engine optimisation, and marketing using social networking sites, to name a few.  All these strategies are aimed to bring visitors to your website in the hopes that they will patronize the products or the services that you are offering. The more targeted the traffic, the higher the chances of an online conversion (such as an online sale, newsletter sign up, enquiry etc) occuring. Marketing online allows a level of measurability which helps advertising agencies to further optimise campaigns based upon the actual performance in terms of conversions, and this is an essential part of effective campaign management.

As I mentioned, internet advertising and marketing has been found to be more cost effective than other forms of marketing venues like TV and print.  Conversion rates are also much higher than other marketing venues.  Most forms of online marketing are very cheap and some are even free.  Take for instance email marketing.  Creating email lists and sending regular emails to your subscribers are relatively easy and costs very little and definitely costs less than sending snail mails to people.  The same holds true for almost all other types of internet marketing and Google AdWords campaigns.

In conclusion therefore, if you have an online business and would want to boost the traffic, and eventually the sales on your website, launching an internet marketing campaign is a must.
